Penofin Brazilian Exotic Wood Oil Application Guide

Hardwood Application:

  1. Stir product thoroughly before and during application.
  2. Apply at temperatures between 7°C (45°F) — 26°C (80°F).
  3. Penofin is stable under freeze/thaw conditions.
  4. For optimum performance bring the stain to room temperature before application.
  5. Do not apply if the wood is hot to the touch.
  6. Using a brush, stain pad, or plastic pump sprayer apply a liberal coat to the wood. Protect any adjacent areas you do not wish to stain by tarping or masking the area off.
  7. Penofin is a penetrating oil finish and will penetrate any porous surface. All Penofin 20-30 minutes to penetrate into the wood. This step is important as it allows the finish to coat the individual fibers of the wood, protecting your investment from the inside out.
  8. After 20-30 minutes wipe the surface thoroughly with clean non-lint cloths to remove any excess finish.
  9. Apply an additional coat 3-6 months after first application. This allows the pores of the dense hardwoods to acclimate to the environment and open further to accept the stain.
  10. Always clean the surface and follow instructions before each application.
  11. Penofin is a penetrating oil finish and is not a surface coating. Failure to wipe will result in a stick/tacky

finish.
