Average gallon coverage: About 300-400 square feet depending on surface type. This container will make roughly 16 gallons of cleaner.
Surface Preparation:
Sweep the surface with a stiff broom or use a blower to clean area of debris. If the surface has been treated with a coating, use Penofin Pro-Tech Stripper (Step #1) to prepare the area. Penofin Pro-Tech cleaner is most effective at temperatures where wood is not hot to the touch. Protect bordering metal surfaces when using at high concentrations. Dampen surrounding vegetation with water.
Application:
Pour one to two cups of Penofin Pro-Tech Cleaner's hydrogenated crystals into one gallon of clean water and mix. Mist the surface with a garden hose and sprayer. Using a pump up garden sprayer, brush or mop, apply the solution liberally. For best results DO NOT ALLOW THE SOLUTION TO DRY ON THE SURFACE. Mist occasionally and agitate with a broom or nonmetallic stiff bristled brush for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
For mildew removal, driveways, garage floors, and really big messes: Wet the surface to be cleaned and sprinkle directly with Penofin Pro-Tech. Agitate the area with a broom or stiff bristle brush for at least 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
For Wood Surfaces:
Follow the application with Penofin Pro-Tech Brightener (Step#3), to remove any tannin stains, and to return the wood to its proper Ph before staining with Penofin. For general cleaning and maintenance (barbecues, outdoor furniture, and swing sets.): Remove any loose debris. Mix 1/2 to 1 cup per gallon of water. Scrub with a stiff-bristled nonmetallic brush and rinse well. Do not let this product stand on metallic surfaces as it may pit or etch.
