Installation Temperature:

24° C (75° F) min / and 24 hours after painting. Do not paint during periods of high relative humidity.

Recoat Time:

2-3 hours prior to applying a second coat. If the surface is still tacky, proceed to 2nd COAT (NEXT

DO NOT USE painted surface for 5 days after painting.

Once cured, you may clean painted surfaces with Klenk's Bare Bath or with dish washing liquid diluted 10 times in water.

each coat.

1. How do I use Klenk's Epoxy Enamel?

  1. Apply masking tape around edges, outlets, handles, taps, overflows, etc. Completely cover taps.
  2. Stir the contents of both cans, Parts A and B, separately. Pour the contents of Part B into Part A. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Close lid. Allow mixture to stand for 1 hour.

2. How long does Klenk's Epoxy Enamel take to dry and cure?

The drying and curing times for Klenk's Epoxy Enamel depend on factors such as temperature, humidity, and film thickness. Generally, it dries within 2-3 hours and can then be recoated. If the finish remains tacky please allow 24 hours before 2nd coat application. Full curing may take up to 7 days, during which time it achieves maximum hardness and durability.

If only...

The odour of this stuff is toxic. The fisheyes disappeared after I added the surpressant to the second coat, and it looked wonderful. The problems appeared 2 years later. First, my fault - inadequate surface prep around the drain caused the epoxy to separate from the tub enamel, so sand well! Second, the surface in the tub is losing its sheen and is discoloring, developing yellowish - grey splotches in the bottom of the tub. I am re-doing the tub and surround with low-odour Ekopel
