Titan FAQ

1Which Titan airless sprayer should I buy?

Match it to the biggest tip you will run. Titan lists the Impact X 410 at 0.021 in, the X 440 at 0.023 in, the 640I at 0.027 in and the 840 at 0.032 in. Thicker coatings and bigger jobs need the larger models.

2Airless or HVLP: which is better?

Airless sprayers move paint fast, so they suit walls, ceilings and whole-house jobs. HVLP turbine sprayers like the Capspray X 115 work at low air pressure and suit cabinets, doors and furniture.

3Can I spray without a power outlet?

Yes. The Impact X 120 is an 18V battery-powered airless sprayer. The FlexSpray Pro 18V is a handheld HVLP sprayer that also runs on 18V batteries.

4Which spray tip should I use?

Check the coating's data sheet first. In a Titan tip number, the first digit doubled is the fan width in inches and the last two digits are the opening in thousandths of an inch. Use the HEA tip for general painting and the SC-6+ Fine Finish tip for stains and lacquers. Stay at or under your sprayer's maximum tip size.

5What warranty does Titan give?

Titan advertises 4 years plus lifetime motor and drive train coverage on some models, such as the Impact X 440. Coverage differs by product and wear items are usually excluded, so ask us for the terms on the model you want.

6How do I clean and store a Titan airless sprayer?

Remove the tip, flush at the lowest pressure until the fluid runs clear, then relieve pressure. Fill the pump with Liquid Shield Plus for storage, as your manual directs. In Canada, never leave water in the pump where it can freeze.

7Can you help with parts or repairs?

Yes. Contact us with your sprayer model and, if you have it, the part number. We'll help you find the right tip, gun, filter or repair kit.
