What does FFLP mean on a Graco spray tip?

FFLP stands for Fine Finish Low Pressure. Graco RAC X FFLP SwitchTips are designed to atomize coatings at lower airless spray pressures, helping produce a soft, controlled spray pattern for fine-finish applications while reducing overspray.

What are Graco FFLP spray tips used for?

Graco FFLP tips are designed for fine-finish airless spraying. They are commonly used for cabinets, doors, trim, furniture, built-ins, millwork and other surfaces where spray control and finish quality are important. The appropriate tip size will depend on both the coating and the surface being sprayed.

Which Graco FFLP tip is best for spraying cabinets?

There isn't one FFLP size that is best for every cabinet project. FFLP210 and FFLP310 are useful choices for many cabinet applications because they combine a relatively narrow fan with a 0.010-inch orifice. The FFLP210 provides a 4–6 inch fan for narrower components, while the FFLP310 provides a 6–8 inch fan for cabinet doors and larger surfaces. Always confirm that the 0.010-inch orifice is appropriate for the coating being sprayed.

What is the difference between FFLP210, FFLP310 and FFLP410?

The FFLP210, FFLP310 and FFLP410 all have a 0.010-inch orifice, but their fan widths are different. The FFLP210 produces a 4–6 inch fan, the FFLP310 produces a 6–8 inch fan, and the FFLP410 produces an 8–10 inch fan. This allows you to change the width of the spray pattern while maintaining the same orifice size.

How do I read a Graco FFLP spray tip number?

The first digit indicates the approximate nominal fan width when doubled, while the final two digits indicate the orifice size in thousandths of an inch. For example, an FFLP310 has an approximate 6-inch nominal fan and a 0.010-inch orifice. Graco publishes the actual fan range for the FFLP310 as 6–8 inches.

What tip guard fits Graco FFLP spray tips?

Graco FFLP SwitchTips are part of the RAC X system and are designed for use with a compatible Graco RAC X HandTite Tip Guard, including part number 246215. Always verify compatibility with your spray gun and equipment before spraying.

How do I clear a clogged Graco FFLP tip?

FFLP tips use Graco's reversible RAC design. If the tip becomes clogged, engage the spray gun's safety, rotate the SwitchTip to the unclog position, safely trigger the gun to clear the obstruction according to Graco's operating instructions, re-engage the safety, and rotate the tip back to the spray position. Always follow the safety and pressure-relief procedures in your sprayer and spray gun manuals.

Punta de pulverización de pintura reversible Graco FFLP RAC X

I am a novice at spraying and these FFLP tips have made it easy to do a decent job the first time using my Graco X-19 cart sprayer. I used the 310 tip to apply Benjamin Moore Advance primer and topcoated with BM Advance Pearl finish and a 308 tip. I was painting shaker cabinet doors. I did have to sand the second primer coat on 4 of the 10 doors due to being a bit too liberal with my spraying. Not a tip problem just me learning how to do this properly. With this lesson learned i was lighter on the finish coats and the result was very impressive. This project was part of building new cabinets for my laundry room and to gain experience with spraying so i am prepared for a full cottage renovation that is starting in 2027. There will be walls, cabinets and trim inside and out. The FFLP tips were so good that I bought 2 of each of the 308,10 & 12. The FFLP tips are awesome where a flawless finish is needed. Cabinets, trim etc…. I’m a big fan!
