Discover the Osmo Hardwax Oils & Natural Wood Finishes Collection

Osmo is a world leader in natural oil-and-wax wood finishes, trusted by professionals and homeowners for over 100 years. Manufactured in Germany, Osmo products are formulated using renewable plant oils and waxes that penetrate deeply into wood surfaces, offering long-lasting protection without creating a plastic film.

Unlike polyurethane, which forms a surface layer, Osmo hardwax oils protect from within, allowing the wood to breathe, remain flexible, and display its natural character. These finishes offer exceptional durability, water resistance, stain protection, and an incredibly smooth hand-rubbed appearance.

At The Paint People, we carry the full Osmo lineup — including Polyx®-Oil, TopOil, Wood Wax Finish, Wood Reviver, floor maintenance kits, and more. Whether you’re finishing hardwood floors, tables, millwork, butcher block, or children’s furniture, Osmo provides a safe, natural finish that enhances beauty and withstands everyday use.

Natural Oils & Waxes for a Healthier Finish

Osmo uses sunflower, soybean, and thistle oils combined with natural hard waxes to provide a breathable, food-safe finish suitable for homes, kitchens, and children’s spaces.

Hardwearing & Water-Resistant Performance

Osmo Polyx®-Oil delivers outstanding protection from spills, abrasion, and everyday wear — ideal for high-traffic floors, countertops, and furniture.

Easy Maintenance & Spot Repairs

Unlike film-forming finishes, Osmo can be repaired in place without sanding entire surfaces. Simply clean, buff, and re-oil localized areas as needed.

Enhances Natural Wood Beauty

Osmo preserves the grain, warmth, and tactile feel of real wood — creating a matte or satin finish that looks handcrafted and premium.
