Fuji Mini-Mite 5 PLATINUM HVLP Paint Spray System

The Fuji Mini-Mite 5 PLATINUM is a lightweight 5-stage turbine HVLP system. It makes about 9.5 psi, so thicker coatings need little thinning. At about 15 lb it is easy to carry from room to room. Choose from three non-bleed guns: T70, T75G or G-XPC.

The Mini-Mite 5 suits cabinet makers, woodworkers, furniture refinishers and serious DIYers who move their sprayer often. Use it for cabinets, doors, furniture, trim and millwork with lacquers, enamels, varnishes and other coatings.

Not ideal for large exterior walls or whole-house repaints. An airless sprayer covers big surfaces much faster.

Gun Options

  • T70 Bottom Feed: 1 qt (1000 cc) cup. Best for bigger jobs and fewer refills.
  • T75G Gravity Feed: 600 cc nylon cup. A good all-round choice for cabinets and furniture.
  • GXPC Side Mount Gravity Feed: 400 cc aluminum cup. Suits tight spots and small parts.

Each gun is sold new or as an Open Box (A+) unit at a lower price. A+ open-box units are like new and come with the full manufacturer's warranty.

Mini-Mite 5 vs Q5 and Mini-Mite 4

The Q5 PLATINUM has the same 5 stages and 9.5 psi in a heavier 24.06 lb turbine with a variable speed control dial, made for the shop. The Mini-Mite 4 PLATINUM is a 4-stage, 9 psi turbine at about 15 lb. Pick the Mini-Mite 5 for a bit more pressure in the same light body.

Setup & Use
  1. Set up the turbine on a flat, clean surface away from overspray, with the filters in place.
  2. Connect the hose to the turbine with the quick-connect and attach it to the gun.
  3. Strain the coating, fill the cup and check its viscosity with the #4 Ford cup. Thin only as the coating maker directs.
  4. Test on cardboard. Adjust the fan pattern, the fluid flow and the air control valve until the spray is even.
  5. Spray with the gun square to the surface, overlapping each pass by about half.
  6. Clean right away. Empty the cup, run the correct cleaner through the gun, and brush the air cap and nozzle clean.
  7. Check the turbine filters often and replace them when dirty.

5Is it good for cabinets and furniture finishes?

Yes. Fine atomization suits cabinets, doors, furniture and trim. Test your coating on scrap first.

6What filter does it use, and how long is the hose?

It uses #7224-2 filters, sold separately. The hose is 25 ft, and a 6 ft whip hose comes in the bonus kit.
