Use Decking Oil. It is made for decks and outdoor furniture and works on pressure-treated and untreated wood. Osmo does not recommend UV-Protection Oil or One Coat Only HS Plus for decking, as they are for vertical surfaces.

Polyx-Oil is for interior floors, stairs and furniture. TopOil is certified food-safe when dry, for countertops, butcher blocks and tabletops. Chopping Board Oil is made for cutting boards and charcuterie boards, and is rated for direct food contact.

Decking Oil covers about 24 m² per litre (258 sq ft) per coat, and it takes 2 coats. A 300 sq ft deck is 600 sq ft of coverage, about 2.3 L in total. Polyx-Oil also covers about 24 m² per litre per coat. Rough or absorbent wood takes more.

Not over paint or lacquer. Osmo says old paint and lacquer on interior floors must be completely removed, and Decking Oil needs the old finish removed and the wood sanded to P80–P100. An intact oil finish can be renewed with one coat and no sanding.

Osmo Canada lists +5 °C to 35 °C for Decking Oil, One Coat Only HS Plus, TopOil and Oil Stain. Osmo UK gives 10–35 °C as ideal for UV-Protection Oil. For Polyx-Oil, the data sheet says above 18 °C for application and drying. Allow about 12 hours between Decking Oil coats.

Wet the wood, brush on Wood Reviver Power Gel, wait 30 minutes, then scrub with water and a stiff brush. It covers about 10 m² per litre, and 1–2 applications may be needed. Osmo says to avoid pressure washing a deck, or allow 2–3 weeks to dry if you use it.

Damp-mop with Wash and Care, about 15 mL in 2 L of water. Use Liquid Wax Cleaner a few times a year for deeper cleaning and refreshing. Black tannin stains on oak can be treated with Tannin Spot Remover, then spot-repaired with Polyx-Oil.
