Airless Sprayer Accessories FAQ

1Which spray tip size should I buy?

Check the paint label first. The first digit of the tip number doubled is the fan width in inches at about 12 in. The last two digits are the orifice in thousandths of an inch. Thicker coatings need a larger orifice, and thin stains and lacquers suit a smaller one. Your sprayer also has a maximum tip size, so check that.

2What does a fine finish tip do?

It has a smaller orifice, which suits thinner coatings on cabinets, doors and furniture. It passes less paint than a general-purpose tip, so it takes longer on big surfaces. See the Graco FFLP tip or Titan Fine Finish tips.

3Will a Graco tip or gun fit a Titan or TriTech sprayer?

Compatibility depends on the inlet thread, the pressure rating and the tip and guard style. We only list a fit when the manufacturer or the product page states it. Check your sprayer model, or contact us before you order.

4How do I choose an airless hose?

Match the hose's thread size and pressure rating to your sprayer and gun. Compare the length and working pressure on the product page, such as the BlueMax II. A longer hose lets you move less often, but check the maximum length your sprayer allows.

5Which filter should I use, and how often should I change it?

Gun filters, pump manifold filters and inlet strainers are different parts, so match the filter to your model. Clean or replace it when the spray spits or the flow drops. Thicker coatings usually need a coarser filter, so check your sprayer's manual.

6How do I spray ceilings and high walls without a ladder?

Use an extension. The RAC X Tip Extension moves the tip further from the gun, and a pole gun lets you reach from the floor. See all extended reach tools.

7Where are the repair kits and pump parts?

In Sprayer Maintenance Accessories, which has gun repair kits, pump packings, storage fluids and other wear parts. Contact us with your sprayer model if you are not sure which one you need.
