INSL-X Multi-Surface Waterproofer is a clear, penetrating siloxane water repellent for brick, stucco, concrete, masonry and bare wood, inside or out. It soaks in and dries clear, so the surface looks exactly the same, while rain beads off. It's vapour permeable, so the wall can still breathe.

Where to Use It
New or reconditioned concrete, brick, stucco, masonry and bare wood: foundations, walkways, porches, steps, patios and fences. Not for painted or stained surfaces, immersion or areas where water pools. To colour and seal concrete, use TuffCrete.

Application Guide
- Clean off dirt, chalk, mildew and grease, then let it dry. Let new concrete cure 30 days.
- Stir well. Don't thin.
- Spray from the top down in overlapping passes, without misting.
- Backroll drips and brush out puddles.
- Splash-test once a year and add a coat if water soaks in.

1How much Multi-Surface Waterproofer do I need?
Use the calculator above. Each 3.79 L covers 50–100 sq ft of cement block, 100–200 sq ft of poured concrete or stucco, and up to 300 sq ft of wood. A 4 × 30 ft concrete walkway is 120 sq ft, so plan on 2 cans.
2Will it change how the surface looks?
No. It soaks in and dries clear and flat, with no visible change to the colour or texture of the brick, stone, concrete or wood.
3Does it let the wall breathe?
Yes. It's vapour permeable, rated at 48 perms, so moisture inside the wall can still escape while rain beads off the outside.
4Can I use it over paint or stain?
No. It needs to soak into bare masonry or wood. Benjamin Moore doesn't recommend it for surfaces that are already painted or stained.
5How do I know when to reapply?
Do a splash test once a year. Throw some water on the surface. If it soaks in quickly instead of beading up, apply another coat.
6Can I use it on a leaking basement wall?
It isn't made for immersion or areas where water pools. If water is coming through a wall, find and fix the source first, then ask our team what to use.
7How cold can it be when I apply it?
The surface and the air need to be between 4.4 °C and 32 °C, which gives you a longer season than most coatings. Don't apply when rain is on the way, late in the day when dew can form, or within 5° of the dew point.

How much do I need?
Coverage depends on how porous the surface is. For block, concrete and stucco we use the low end of Benjamin Moore's range, so you don't run short. Wood is listed at up to 300 sq ft, so rough wood may take more.
For a wall, use its length and height. Brick isn't on the data sheet's coverage chart, so for porous brick use Cement block to be safe. One coat is the norm.

How to apply
Clean, spray, done.
- Let new concrete cure at least 30 days.
- Scrub off dirt, chalk and mildew with warm soapy water, degrease oil spots and rinse.
- Let it dry and check the forecast: 4.4–32 °C, no rain on the way, and not late in the day.
- Stir well. Don't thin.
- Spray from the top down in overlapping passes. Don't mist it.
- Backroll any drips with a short-nap roller and brush out puddles.
- Ready to use after 12 hours. Splash-test once a year.
